Our Story

A MORE PERSONAL KIND OF CELEBRATION

I’m Sybil, the founder and creative behind Luxury Picnics SF. For more than 15 years, I’ve worked in event styling and floral design, but my love of gathering beautiful pieces and creating inviting spaces began long before it became my work.

Luxury Picnics SF grew from that love. Although we call them picnics, what we create is much closer to an intimate event. Each setting is designed individually using florals, textiles, tabletop pieces and furnishings chosen for that particular celebration. I don’t want our events to feel pulled from a formula—or like the same picnic recreated in a different color. The details should feel connected to the occasion and to the people at the center of it.

My husband, Bryon, is an important part of the experience. With decades of experience in music and hospitality, he brings warmth, calm and an instinct for making people feel welcome. We have found that the most memorable gatherings aren’t necessarily the largest. Often, they are the smaller occasions where people can settle in, connect and truly enjoy being together.

For us, this has never been about creating beautiful picnics alone. It is about giving people a place to celebrate their relationships, honor an important milestone and be fully present with the people they love. The setting may be what first catches the eye, but what happens within it is what gives the occasion its meaning.

What I love most is seeing an empty space become something completely different—whether it is a proposal overlooking the water, a milestone birthday in a private garden or a beautifully set table shared by family and friends. Every setting begins a little differently, and that is exactly how I believe it should be.
